After a layoff in 2017, Vermont Woody was born as a customized desk woodshop to keep me busy while hunting for the next day job. A few desks were made, a media company was purchased, and a technology company was created. The latter two became the major focus and Vermont Woody fell off the radar.
This time, Vermont Woody is back to chase hobbies instead of business. Working the woodshop, photographing beautiful Vermont, and wheeling the truck that moves the wood and moves me to the photos is what I love to do. Here’s my attempt at chronicling the adventures.
What is a Vermont Woody?
A woody is a shortened term in the Vermonter vernacular given to a man who is resourceful in the woods and the homestead. Normally called a “woodchuck.” That’s the nice definition. It can also be used to mean something southerners like to call a redneck. But I don’t think any true woodchuck would be offended by that.
